The X Factor Closed Room auditions Week 2 Review

Last night was week 2 of The X Factor closed room auditions and here are some of the best auditions from last night’s show

Jade Richards

Jade Richards made a triumphant return to the X Factor last night but things weren’t quite so bright for the Scottish singer when she returned for her second try-out.
Last night the 23 year old returned to the ITV show, after getting rejected two years ago by Tulisa at judges houses and she received rave reviews for her version of ‘When I was your Man’ by Bruno Mars.

Louis Walsh thought she had her ‘mojo back’, while Nicole Scherzinger insisted:“I personally Jade would love to work with you.”

I was very happy to see her back she’s an incredible singer and I personally see her as a contender for the crown this year.

Amy Mottram (video to come)

Amy Mottram was the second of four acts to return to the X Factor stage tonight, making a bit of a reunion / comeback show.

Following singer Jade Richards to the audition room, the 17 years old Essex singer tried out for the judges for a second time but admitted that after making as far as Tulia’s judges’ houses last year, before being rejected, she was feeling more nervous than ever about her return.

Before singing ‘Clown’ by Emeli Sande Amy told Dermot O’Leary:

I was] gutted. Coming back is so nerve wracking, you have got something to prove now and I want to go out and give it my all. Hopefully this year will be my year.

However, luckily for Mottram the judges loved her performance and afterwards Sharon Osbourne told her:” I think you’re incredibly brave to come back again. You’re determined and I like that.”

Nicole Scherzinger added: “You are so special and you’re a star.”

Amy won herself four yeses and a place in the next round of arena auditions. I love this girl and I wanted her to go to live shows last hopefully she makes it this year.

Relley Clarke
Relley Clarke made her X Factor debut last night and was one of the few new faces on a show full of comeback queens.

The 23 year old hotel housekeeper from Birmingham performed ‘Don’t you Worry Child’ by Swedish House Mafia for the judges but before singing she spoke about her life to Dermot O’Leary saying:
It’s not a glamorous job but you just have to smile and go with it don’t you. If I can get at least one yes I’ll be over the moon.

After her performance, the judges were full of positivity and told Relley:
Gary: Nice audition. I didn’t expect that big voice to come from a little person. I think with the right work and coaching we might have something special here. Great voice and a great personality. I can see what it means to you this and you deserve it.
Sharon: You know who you are and that’s what makes it so great. I can hear your little accent coming through and it’s all you and I love that.
Louis: You’re very likeable. We liked you before you even started singing. I liked you even more when you started singing. You deserve a chance, no more housekeeping.
Relley got four yeses and a pass to the next round of arena auditions. I was blown away by this girl last night she even had me singing along with her.

The show is back for the second round of arena auditions on ITV at 8pm
