Miguel has reportedly been charged with driving under the influence.
The star was arrested last month in Los Angeles after he failed a sobriety test.
Miguel was pulled over in his 2013 BMW X6 on August 15 and subsequently blew a .10 and .11 breathalyser reading - above the Californian limit of .08.
At the time, the Adorn singer was booked and released on US$5,000 bail.
Now, TMZ states that the 27-year-old has formally been charged with two counts of drink driving.
Miguel is due to appear at a scheduled court hearing next week, but the singer is yet to comment on the matter.
