Drake for VMAS


It has been conformed that...
Drake is the latest name confirmed to take to the stage at the 2013 MTV VMAs!

The Grammy Award-winning rapper is set to perform his smash hit tune Started From The Bottom at the ceremony, due to take place at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Sunday, August 25.

Drizzy's accompanying music video for Started From The Bottom music is nominated for two Moonmen, including Best Direction and Best Hip Hop Video - the category he won last year with HYFR with Lil Wayne.

The Young Money star's performance at this bash will be his second ever stint on the VMA stage, following his rendition of Fancy at the show in 2010.

Drake joins previously announced performers Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke.

Fresh from touring with Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake on their Legends of Summer stadium tour, DJ Cassidy will also spin tunes throughout the ceremony.

We can also confirm that Video of the Year and Best Female Video nominee Taylor Swift is confirmed to present at this year’s show.

The likes of Best Song Of The Summer contender Selena Gomez, A$AP Rocky, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, 30 Seconds To Mars frontman Jared Leto - who is nominated for Best Rock Video - Emeli Sande and Kevin Hart will also hand out gongs on the night.

The 2013 MTV Video Awards will be shown on MTV from 8pm on Monday August 26.
