The girls from Little Mix have spoken out about controversial starlet Miley Cyrus, calling her a "brilliant popstar” and saying they hope people don’t forget that she is a talented artist.
While chatting to Digital Spy, the Move hit makers recalled meeting Miley at the Teen Choice Awards earlier this year and admitted the star was “really lovely”.
Band member Leigh-Anne Pinnock explained: "When we were out there, the VMA performance hadn't happened yet. I think 'We Can't Stop' had just come out and we were presenting an award to her."
The girl group also discussed Cyrus’ recent risqué photoshoot with celebrity snapper Terry Richardson.
Jade Thirlwall said: "Is that the one where she's wearing like a mankini? It's up to her what she wants to do, but I hope people don't forget that she's actually talented.
She continued: "'Wrecking Ball' is an amazing song - it's all our favourite thing at the moment. It's an incredible song. We all think she's a brilliant popstar."
Miley recently announced plans for a 2014 BANGERZ tour, while Little Mix will also be hitting the road next year supporting Demi Lovato on her US Neon Lights tour.
Little Mix will release their second studio album Salute in the UK on November 11.
Little Mix are set to appear on The X Factor this weekend.
