Rita Ora confirms new single "I will never let you down featuring Calvin Harris

Rita  Ora has confirmed that her new single features boyfriend Calvin Harris.

The 23-year old star made the announcement when chatting to Nick Grimshaw

 on his BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show, also revealing that the track is called I Will Never Let You Down.

The star said: "I can't wait. I've been working on my new album for about a year. The song I'm going to release features an incredible talent in Calvin Harris. It's called 'I Will Never Let You Down'.

When asked what it was like working with her man, Rita went on to say : "Honestly, it was so natural. I wouldn't have done it if it didn't make any sense.

"I was never really against [working with] people I'm involved with [and] doing something personally. We were sitting at home, he started humming and then I started humming and then we hummed together!"

As well as teaming up with Calvin Harris. the R.I.P. singer also divulged that she has collaborated with Grammy Award winners, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

She explained: "We've got some really exciting stuff with Macklemore... there's a lot of surprises on this record."

Siva Kaneswaran opens up about Max George

The wanted's Siva Kaneswaran has reacted to comments made by bandmate Max George concerning their split .

Over the weekend, Max told The Sun  that rows about their private life were to blame for the band's split, particularly singling out tension between himself and Siva's fiancée Nareesha.

George revealed to the tabloid: "Me and Siva's girlfriend don't get on. But I respect her and am happy that she makes Siva happy because he's like one of my brothers."

During an interview with The Dayily Mail  Kaneswaran said of Max's comments: "We had no idea, literally because we had all released a statement and that was what we had agreed on. It was a shock and uncalled for.

"The statement is what we all agreed on, so it was quite a shock to have that recent article come out from Max, for me and the fans, because we found out at the same time."

He went on to address George's accusations that their private lives are to blame for their break-up, adding: "I think it's untrue and very unfair.

"I think from doing the TV show we all kind of knew where we stood and from that I felt like there was some sense of... I felt like it was every man for himself looking back on when the show aired."

He continued: "I've never been that way and I'd never actually seen it before until I looked back at the show. I think that is where we lost the team element and from there it kind of just went.

"I think on the show a lot was playing up for the camera and with regards to our personal life, and my personal life, I think the camera dramatised a lot of things and stereotyped us, which I think was unfair and I think people's true colours came out."

On his future with Max and The Wanted, Siva concluded: "I'm going to have to talk to him and find a way forward and be adults about it.

"All of us boys are like brothers, it's all I've ever known and we're going on tour together and I think we're just going to be professional with each other and give the fans a good show because it's all about the fans at the end of the day.

"I wouldn't say he betrayed us but he didn't communicate enough with us. There was a major lack of communication. It was disappointing, that's all it was."

The bands last show is at The Arena in Shawnee, Oklahoma on May 17, while their last UK date will be on April 1 at the Nottingham Arena.

Jasmine Waltz slams Casey Batchelor

Jasmine Waltz has hit out at Casey Batchelor in a new magazine interview.

The American actress took another pop at her rival for the affections of fellow housemate Lee Ryan as she chatted with Nuts following a photoshoot.

She said: "I liked her at first, but now I see that she manipulated a lot of people in the house into feeling sorry for her.

"Having watched it back, I've seen Lee tell Casey five or six times that he didn't like her in a serious way and that he was into me.

"I think she's a little pathetic."

And she was also keen to play down her and Blue star Lee's now-infamous bathroom liaison.

When asked what they'd been up to, she replied: "Nothing, we were just kissing. Everyone's so excited over what happened and basically nothing did.

"I mean, the way it's edited makes it look like more happened, but it didn't."

And despite Lee cosying up with Casey again following her exit, she doesn't appear to be holding it against him.

"I think he's sweet. It was really nice that he showed his feelings. A lot of guys try to hide it and the fact he opened up like that was awesome."

Asked if she's going to see him when he leaves the house, she continued: "I hope so. Who knows, right? But I hope so."

Ariana Grande speaks out in defence of Justin Bieber

 Ariana Grande has spoken up to defend her friend Justin Bieber following his recent arrest.

The 20-year-old actress, singer and songwriter called on the public to stop mocking Biebs, calling his situation "serious and upsetting".

Speaking to Boston's Mix 104.1, Ariana said: "I think it's really serious. I've seen tweets of people making fun of the mug shot and all this stuff and it's so ignorant.

"It's gotten to a point where I just want him to be okay. It's this very serious thing. It's not just like a kid who's, you know screwing around, it's dangerous. It's very serious and upsetting."

And she added, poignantly: "He's the most visible and yet isolated human being I've ever met."

Lady Gaga has also encouraged her fans to be supportive of JB's "Beliebers".

Jay-Z wins Grammy Award and dedicates it to Blue Ivy

Blue Ivy didn't make a cameo at the 56th annual Grammy Awards with her parents Jay-Z and Beyoncé, but her rapper dad did bring her home a special gift.

After Queen B and Jigga opened the ceremony with a raunchy rendition of Drunk In Love, the hip-hop mogul was on hand to pick up the gong for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for Holy Grail, his duet with Justin Timberlake.

Jamie Foxx gave Jigga the trophy and Hov decided to show how much it meant to him, by dedicating it to baby Blue.

After thanking God, partially for the award, and a lot for placing Beyoncé, who he affectionately called a "beautiful light of a young lady" in his life, Jay dropped this gem: "I wanna tell Blue that, look -- daddy got a gold sippy cup for you!"

The wanted take a break from group and say they will be back

The Wanted have announced they are taking a break from the band to pursue personal projects.

A statement released by the band read: "Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour's conclusion."

The boys will be taking to the road one last time for their upcoming Word of Mouth Tour.

Before they take a break, the fab fivesome will release a new video and single, Glow in the Dark, from their latest album, which is also called Word of Mouth.

"The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future," the statement continued.

"They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour."

In other wanted news

 The boys quickly took to social media to reassure fans that it is just a break, and not a more permanent split.

Tom was one of the first to take to Twitter, posting: "Just want to say...It's a break, not the end. You can't get rid of us that easily haha! X"

Newly-engaged Siva re-iterated his bandmate's message by adding: "A break is very different to the end."

"Hey guys, so I know the news today was a big thing, but let me tell you this is not the END," Max chimed in. "It's the right time for myself and the other boys to have some time to try and achieve other things in our lives and careers."

And this morning, Nathan posted a statement on Instragram, saying: "Thank you to everyone for all of your lovely messages. We have had the most fun and every moment is down to you guys!"


"However, I must take this moment to say that nobody is to blame for any decision we have come to and we are so grateful to everyone who has helped us along the way."

"I can't wait for the tour to celebrate everything The Wanted has achieved and to see you all in the future!!"

Selena Gomez talks Demi Lovato "we did fall apart for a while."

Selena Gomez has opened up about her friendship with Demi Lovato, admitting that at one point "we did fall apart for a while."

"She was going through things and I was so young and it was confusing," Selena told Seventeen magazine.

Demi recently admitted to being heavily addicted to cocaine and alcohol, eventually seeking treatment for substance abuse issues and an eating disorder.

Selena continued: "I processed it saying, 'OK, I don't understand what she's going through so I'm just going to do this.'"

"I don't think it was fair, and I'm so happy that I have her back in my life now."

The two have known each other since they were 7, when they appeared on Barney And Friends. As teenagers they both went on to front their own series on the Disney Channel.

"Demi's very, very strong. She's the only person that I would tell the deepest, darkest secrets to," said Selena. "The only person."

Justin Bieber's ex also gushed: "I feel like we're all given what we can handle, and clearly someone thought Demi could handle so much - and she could, and she did. And she's incredible for that."

Justin Bieber in court on suspicion of DUI

Justin Bieber has appeared in court via video link after he was arrested in Miami on suspicion of DUI, drag racing, driving with an expired licence and resisting arrest.

The 19-year old was reportedly pulled over at 4am while behind the wheel of a rented Lamborghini on Thursday morning (January 23) after being caught doing 55 to 60mph in a 30mph zone.

After his arrest, Miami Beach police spokesman Sgt Bobby Hernandez stated: "He showed symptoms of someone under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

"He was pulled over and failed a field sobriety test. He was then taken to the police station to be offered a breathalyzer."

Cops have since released a copy of JB's arrest report on Twitter, which details that Justin - whose Georgia driving licence was six months out of date - admitted that he had consumed alcohol, prescription medicine and smoked marijuana before taking the wheel.

The report also states that the All That Matters singer asked: "Why the f*** are you doing this", after being pulled over and refused to take his hands out of his pockets - causing the officer to fear he may be armed.

He is said to have continued to protest: "What the f*** did I do. Why did you stop me?", taking his hands off the car again against orders and adding: "I ain't got no f***ing weapons. Why do you have to search me."

After being told that he would be arrested if he took his hands off the car again, Bieber again turned around to face the officer, at which point he grabbed the singer's right hand and informed him that he was under arrest. JB resisted being cuffed and was then taken into custody.

Justin was later bailed at $2,500 (£1,503), and was seen leaving jail wearing a hooded black top and went on to sit on top of a waiting SUV for a few moments as he waved to fans.

Seeing as Bieber is Canadian, immigration attorney Ira Kurzban has said neither driving under the influence nor driving without a licence can make an individual eligible for deportation, online reports state.

Ke$ha's rehab update

Ke$ha has given fans an update on her time in rehab, claiming she is feeling "better than ever" and hopes to lave soon.

Earlier this month, the Timber singer was entered a facility to seek help for an eating disorder, with her mother Pebe Sebert recently revealing how she "almost died" from the condition.

The 26-year old has since assured fans she is on the mend, after one of Ke$ha's friends took over her Twitter account.

The messages read: "This is Kesha's friend. She asked me to tweet an update for her because she doesn't have access to twitter right now.

"She says "THANK YOU. SOOO MUCH. I'm overwhelmed to tears by all of the love, letters, and support!! I'll be back soon and better than ever.

"Ohhh and she can't believe Timber is still number one! "F*k YEAH animals! PARTY ON!!!!"

Ke$ha's pal later added: "Hey guys this is K's friend again. She's doing well and needs more of your teeth to make art with at the treatment center. She misses you :)."

Has Lady Gaga confirmed new single?

Lady Gaga has appeared to confirm that Gypsy will be her next ARTPOP single.

According to Digital Spy, Mother Monster's record label Interscope has included the track on a Soundcloud playlist, which was sent to US radio stations.

Gaga is yet to confirm whether Gypsy will be her next release, but if the rumours prove to be true, it'll be her third official ARTPOP single.

She has already unleashed Applause and R Kelly collaboration Do Want U Want from the album, with the latter still to receive a video after the promo was delayed.

Lady G later blamed her team for the absent video, stating that the Haus of Gaga had "gravely mismanaged" her time.

The Bad Romance singer was also in the news this week after documenting her "emotional" trip to the Lourve in Paris after seeing artist Bob Wilson's portrait of herself.

Kelly Clarkson "I am having a baby girl"

Kelly Clarkson has confirmed she's carrying a baby girl.

The Miss Independent singer tweeted earlier today: "We just found out we're having a girl officially! I knew it! Only a girl could cause this much drama with all this vomiting ha!"

Back in November Kelly predicted that Baby Clarkson would be a girl because of the severe morning sickness she was enduring.

"She's killing me. Of course it's a girl causing the trouble," the singer said at the time, confirming she was throwing up a dozen times a day.

Despite all the discomfort, Kelly and husband Brandan Blackstock were looking forward to their new arrival so much, they picked out a name before even knowing the baby's sex.

"We named our kid before we were even pregnant," Kelly joked, suggesting it was a moniker that could suit both a boy and a girl.

But the mama-to-be won't be revealing that name any time soon: "We're not saying because I don't want somebody to steal my baby name!"

Rihanna uploads sexy photos on Instagram

Rihanna has shared a bunch of bootylicious snaps on Instagram, showing off an ample derriere and a handful of sideboob.

In the racy pics, RiRi wears a gold string bikini although in some shots she's discarded the top half to go au naturel on a boat.

The posts are just the latest in a stream of sexy snaps. Over the weekend she uploaded photographs of herself cavorting in a botanical garden in a very revealing one-piece, while earlier this afternoon the Monster singer added some shots of herself frolicking on what looks a surfboard.

Rihanna is currently in the South American state for a Vogue Brazil cover shoot.

Clearly rumours that Vogue banned her from using social media during her trip (apparently in order to protect their exclusive interview) are untrue if the singer's Instagram account is anything to go by: she's uploaded over 15 photos in three days.

Cheryl Cole starting work on new album

Cheryl Cole fans will be pleased to know that the gorgeous Geordie has started work on her fourth solo album.

After months of speculation that Chezza was back in the studio, her PA Lily England confirmed the news on Twitter last night (January 20).

At first, England teased Cole's soldiers writing: "Who wants to know something???", before adding: "SO! The Chez is firmly back in the studio making music and.. it is INSANELY AWESOME!!! I am beyond excited - 2014 is gonna be her year!!!"

She went on to add: "I am already developing obsessions!! Not usual this early on #shesonform."

Songwriter Camille Purcell also revealed that she's been working with the former Girls Aloud star, tweeting: "In the studio with lovely @CherylCole xx."

Camillie has previously worked with the likes of JLS, Leona Lewis and The Saturdays, with her most recent track being Nothing Feels Like You with Little Mix, which is currently riding high on the US iTunes Chart.

Cheryl herself also took to Twitter after her day in the studio, telling fans: "Can not sleep for the love of trying. I am toooo hyped about music... Excited !! #musicbrain #wirednottired words all in my head."

The 30-year old last album, A Million Lights, was released back in June 2012 and boasted her No.1 smash hit single, Call My Name.

No drugs found in Justin Bieber's home

A Los Angeles Sheriff has denied reports that police found drugs at Justin Bieber's home during a police raid last week.

Following JB's alleged egg throwing incident, cops were forced to search Justin's Calabasas pad for evidence, where it was claimed that the 19-year old's home was 'filled' with narcotics.

However, the LA Sheriff investigating the case has since told E! News that police did not see any illegal substances - except for the suspected Class A drugs Bieber's pal Lil Za was arrested for.

He went on to rubbish reports that authorities found bottles of codeine during the raid, adding that no containers of weed or any other drugs were found, while also denying claims that Justin had a 'smoke room' in his house.

The Sheriff also slammed allegations that JB's home smelled of marijuana during the raid - stating that the Baby singer's mansion was "well kept and clean" and "didn't smell or have an unusual odour."

Khloe Kardashian opens up about her relationship issues

Khloe Kardashian has been seen opening up about her relationship worries on the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

The US reality TV star talks about herself and sister Kim both having "new beginnings" - in different ways obvs - and admits she found it hard to face the world as her marriage was in meltdown.

She said: "Kim and I are into new vibes, it's all about new beginnings.

"This whole thing is very uncomfortable," she explains as she prepares to go out. "I don't like being around people because I know what they're thinking."

And she is then seen running the gauntlet of the paparazzi - who ask her about her troubled relationship.

"I've been in hiding because I'm afraid of people," Khloe continues. "I can't look at people in the eyes. And I'm not even the one who did anything.

"I've been putting myself aside to save hopefully somebody else's life and now that I've come to terms that I can't, I have to move on with my life and that means changing a lot."

Beyoncé and family head to The White House

Beyoncé was on hand to help US First Lady Michelle Obama celebrate her 50th birthday over the weekend.

The XO singer took to her Tumblr page to share a number of snaps from the event - where she is said to have sung some of her biggest hits at Michelle's private party.

In one pic, Queen B can be seen hand-in-hand with her daughter Blue Ivy as they approach the White House, while in another snap, the pair can walk through the corridor of the iconic building.

Bey also posed with the Obama's dog Bo for another snap, with Blue seeming to be quite taken by the White House pet, with the former Destiny's Child star uploading a pic of the toddler stroking their pet pooch.

As well as hanging out at the White House, the Love On Top hitmaker also posted a number of photos from Michelle's party, including one of her showing off her impressive pins in a glitzy, gold frock.

It is thought the likes of Jennifer Hudson and Samuel L. Jackson were also in attendance at the bash.

In other Beyoncé news, the star and hubby Jay-Z are due to perform at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (January 26).

Little Mix announce releas of official Sport Relief single

Little Mix have announced they will be releasing this year's official Sport Relief single.

The X Factor girlband will cover Cameo's 1986 hit Word Up, with the girls taking to Twitter to confirm the news: "We are really excited to announce this years official @SportRelief Single is called 'Word Up' sung by..... US!! xxLittle Mix xxx #SR14"

Member Perrie Edwards later said of the song: "We've all seen people push themselves and do incredible things for Sport Relief so it's a dream come true to be releasing the official single this year.

"We can't wait for you all to hear it."

Their version of Word Up is due to hit iTunes on March 16, with all profits going to the charity.

Sport Relief kicks off from Friday, March 21 and will run until Sunday, March 23.

Has Peter Andre's newborn baby's name been picked?

Peter Andre and girlfriend Emily MacDonagh have reportedly named their newborn daughter Rebecca.

Despite the Mysterious Girl singer previously telling fans that the tot still had no name, sources have told The Mirror that the pair have opted for a traditional moniker, rather than a usual celebrity-style name.

The insider said: "In the run up to the birth, Emily told Pete she was set on a traditional name for their first child together.

"A lot of Pete's Family are devout Christians and Rebecca fitted the bill perfectly - she is a key figure in Genesis in the bible."

Earlier this week, the 40-year old opened up about his baby girl, calling her "just perfect".

He added: "It's a bit early to say who she looks like yet, but I'm sure it will be apparent soon! Emily and baby are doing well."

Kim Kardashian has revealed new North-West photo

Kim Kardashian has revealed fresh pictures of her and Kanye West's baby daughter North.

Appearing on Ellen DeGeneres chat show in the US, the reality TV star gushed about her happiness as a new mum.

"She changes all the time. One day she'll look like Kanye, one day she'll look like me. It's so crazy," she said.

"And her personality is so cute. She is really calm and really quiet."

But she admitted that she had not enjoyed the pregnancy.

"It's all worth it in the end, so I would definitely suffer through that, but pregnancy was not a good experience for me. At all.

"My labour was easy, but just the whole pregnancy was so... I had a few medical issues, so it was really tough, and I gained a lot of weight.

"I think with all of the medical issues - I had Pre-eclampsia, which was really tough; I had to deliver early. But I wouldn't take any of it back because I have the most adorable, sweetest baby in the world."

And she revealed that rapper Kanye had been shirking his duty with the nappies.

"He's not a diaper changing kind of guy. But he would if it's an emergency he will. But I love that time. I know it sounds crazy, but I love my time with her when she's on the changing table. She tries to talk so much and I really enjoy that bonding time when I'm with her."

She also shared an adorable picture of Yeezy holding North, which was displayed on the screen behind Ellen and herself.

But while the TV chat went smoothly, there was drama behind the scenes prior to the show.

Kim's maxi dress ripped shortly before she was scheduled to appear, leaving her scrabbling for a replacement.

She shared the costume crisis with her followers on Instagram, posting snaps of both outfits and writing: "OMG my dress for Ellen just broke!!! I have to leave in 5mins...I need help! Should I wear this???"

And shortly afterwards she updated followers: "Ok found my look! Thank God! I ran out of time....off to the taping #phew #thedrama #anxiety"

Madonna on crutches

Madonna has been left hobbling on crutches after hurting her foot while dancing.

Although the Material Girl returned from a recent ski trip to Gstaad without a bruise, she promptly injured herself in New York while dancing in heels, the Sun reports.

The star enjoyed a recent skiing vacation alongside daughter Lourdes and 26-year old boyfriend Timor Steffans but was apparently spotted hobbling in pain in the Big Apple this week.

“She bruised a bone in her foot from dancing in her high heels,” said a spokesman for the 55-year old star. “She’ll be fine and off crutches in a week.”

The Queen of Pop, who is working on an art project with Katy Perry, took the fall philosophically, posting on her Facebook page yesterday: "In the blink of an eye everything can change! Why waste time?”

Accompanying the quote was a close-up pic of the singer’s face, in which she sports a pair of chic glasses but she appears to be keeping her injured foot under wraps.

Peter Andre "our baby is just perfect"

Peter Andre has opened up about the birth of his baby girl, stating the tot is "just perfect".

The Mysterious Girl hitmaker welcomed his first child with girlfriend Emily MacDonagh last week, with Andre revealing that they are still yet to decide on a name for the newborn.

Speaking to New! magazine, the 40-year old said: "Thankyou to everyone for their kind messages on the arrival of our little beaut. She is just perfect.

"It's a bit early to say who she looks like yet, but I'm sure it will be apparent soon! Emily and baby are doing well. We have the next couple of weeks to think of a name."

While the pair are still yet to decide on a moniker, Andre previously revealed himself and Emily were a fan of the more traditional names, stating: "I like the names Rose, Alexandra and Cleopatra."

Andre already has two children, Junior and Princess, from his marriage to Katie Price.

Ciara has confirmed "I am pregnant"

Ciara has confirmed she's pregnant!

On her way to American talk show The View, the singer announced her pregnancy by posing for photographers with her hand on her bump, much like Beyonce did at the 2011 VMAs.

The Body Party singer later posed for a photo with The View co-host Jenny McCarthy, who tweeted a pic of the two with the caption: "Congrats to my girl @ciara so happy for your bun in the oven."

Rapper Nicki Minaj was also quick to offer the Love Sex Magic singer her congratulations, tweeting: "Congrats @ciara and @1future!!!!!!"

Ciara just got engaged to baby daddy, Future, last October. The hip hop artist got down on one knee during Ciara's birthday celebrations in New York.

Apparently the two have already set a date for the wedding, although they're not telling when - or where - it is.

Either way, with a baby on the way, the Future - and Ciara - looks set to be pretty busy this year.

Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland head to a karaoke bar in Miami

Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland crashed a karaoke party in Miami this week... giving a group of fans the surprise of their life!

The Destiny's Child stars were spotted at Sing Sing Karaoke on Tuesday (January 7), when they joined a group of girls in their booth after hearing them sing Queen B's 2011 tune, Party.

Speaking of their visit, owner Kellie Pilicer told Miami's New Times: "Beyoncé follows the sounds, she just walks right in, and there are two girls sitting and one of their friends had fallen asleep on the lounge chair.

"I'm standing just watching the whole thing and the other people in their party started walking in and cracking up because they were singing Beyoncé."

She went on to say  "They start dancing around together, but they have no idea who it is.

"And all of a sudden one of the girls looks at Kelly and says, 'Oh, you look like Kelly Rowland,' and they she looks at Beyoncé and goes, 'Oh my God!'"

The girls then had their picture taken with Bey and Kelly, with the Single Ladies hitmaker also 'photobombing' one of their friends who was sleeping on the sofa.

It is thought that the pair visited Sing Sing Karaoke with Beyoncé's hubby Jay-Z and  friend/producer Timbaland.

spoiler alert- Celebrity Big Brother housemates facing boot announced

Celebrity Big Brother love rat Lee Ryan and on-off house 'girlfriend' Casey Batchelor may be getting on like a house on fire in the Bolt Hole, but the fate of the rest of the housemates has been announced.

Five celebs face eviction after the first round of nominations were held last night, with Channel 5 confirming who may get the chop today (January 9).

Ryan's other love interest Jasmine Waltz, Luisa Zissman, Evander Holyfield, Jim Davidson and Liz Jones will go head-to-head, and the person with the least votes will get their marching orders on Friday (January 10).

Since entering the Bolt Hole, the Blue singer and glamour girl have clashed after Casey confronted Lee over his smooching with Jasmine.

The remaining celebs are unaware that Lee and Casey are still housemates and are watching their every move.

My views on this 

I feel that Liz jones will leave on Friday due to the fact that she hasn't really done anything in there. I am shocked at this because I felt she was going to cause some drama just based on the reputation she has.

Drakes long-time producer Noah '40' Shebib was initially wanted for Aaliyah album

Drake was on the receiving end of scathing criticism when he announced plans to release a posthumous Aaliyah album, but it turns out that his long-time producer Noah '40' Shebib was initially approached about crafting the album 

Drizzy began dropping hints about the project in the spring of 2012, but things got serious that summer when he released the single Enough Said, featuring previously unheard Aaliyah vocals.

The track was met with mixed reviews, and artists including Timbaland and a ferocious DMX would openly criticise Drake for attempting to work on an Aaliyah album without their help, or the blessing of her family.

In a new interview with Vibe however, 40 - who executive produced Drake's Nothing Was the Same album - explained that Aaliyah's family actually reached out to him to work on the LP, and that's when Drake got onboard.

"Aaliyah's label Blackground--the Hankersons, her uncle and cousin -- came to me and said if she was around she'd want you to do this [posthumous] project," 40 explained.

"I've been obsessed with Aaliyah forever, and I know Drake has his relationship with her. But that opportunity was mine. Drake said, 'Can I do it with you?' and I was like, 'Of course, we'll do it together.' "

He went on to explain: "The world reacting to Drake's involvement so negatively, I just wanted nothing to do with it. That was a very sad experience for me.

"I was naïve to the politics surrounding Aaliyah's legacy and a bit ignorant to Timbaland's relationship and everybody else involved and how they'd feel.

"Tim said to me, 'Don't stop, make the album.' I think that was Tim taking the position of, 'I'm not going to stop you. If you're not going to do it, that's your decision.' But ultimately, I wasn't comfortable and didn't like the stigma.

"We released [Enough Said], but I was seven songs deep. [Aaliyah's] mother saying 'I don't want this out' was enough for me. I walked away very quickly."

Back in October 2013, Drake himself also revealed that he is no longer involved with the plans, stating the project was "blown out of proportion".

My views on this 

I think that it is a shame that this didn't go ahead because I feel it would have been a fantastic album and i believe Drake and his team could have done something special with it, however if Aaliyah's mother was unhappy with it being out drake was right to walk away.

Peter Andre & girlfriend welcome baby girl

Peter Andre has confirmed that his girlfriend Emily MacDonagh has given birth to their first child together.

The pop star posted a message on his own website verifying news reports that he and Emily have welcomed a baby daughter to the world.

He wrote: "Now that I have had the opportunity to tell Junior & Pringles, we are very happy to announce the safe arrival of our beautiful baby girl:)

"We are extremely thrilled and mum and bubba are doing fine. We are looking forward to a nice quiet couple of weeks getting to know our baby.

"Thanks to everyone at Musgrove Park Hospital :)))"

Katy Perry and Robin Thicke are set to perform at the Grammy Awards 2014.

Royals singer Lorde will also take to the stage at the 56th annual ceremony, which is due to take place at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on January 26.

Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams have also been added to the line-up, joining previous announced acts Daft Punk and Stevie Wonder.

Metallica currently complete the bill, and are due to perform with Grammy Cultural Ambassador to China, Lang Lang.

Thicke will also collaborate with 1970s and 1980s soft rock band Chicago.

The likes of Pink and Nate Ruess, Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons are all due to take to stage, with country stars Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Blake Shelton set to put on a special performance.

Rapper LL Cool J will host the event, which will broadcast live on CBS from 8pm ET. This wil be one good show

The Saturdays still have work to do says Una

The Saturdays have revealed they can't rest on their laurels in their bid for chart domination.

The Sats' Una told Digital Spy: "We had a number one this year and I felt like we were at the top that day."

"But with the music business you kind of have to keep trying all the time - you're never comfortable at the top."

"We were number one for that week but then the next week you're not and it's like, 'Oh'."

Back in March, What About Us was the group's first ever track to reach the top spot.

"[People ask] when are they going to get another," bandmate Mollie added . "Well we've got one and we've each got a plaque at home saying number one and I'm happy."

"And underneath us at number two was Justin Timberlake, so that made me double happy!" new mum Rochelle continued 

The girls released their fourth studio album, Living For The Weekend, in October where it reached number 10 in the charts.

Is Beyoncé heading to The Brit Awards 2014?

The Brit Awards 2014 could be about to get a bit more fierce as reports suggest Beyoncé could perform on the night.

According to The Sun, bosses are trying to get the XO singer to take to the stage at the bash next month - despite Queen B pulling out of last year's show.

It is thought that Bey called time on her performance at the bash in 2013 as her new material wasn't ready.

However, the newspaper adds that this year could be The Brits lucky year as the Single Ladies hitmaker kick starts her UK tour on February 20 - the day after the ceremony - meaning she will already be on our shores.

And with her new self-titled album - which she surprisingly dropped last month - still riding high in the charts, The Sun claims it would be the perfect opportunity for Bey to promote a new single.

Beyoncé last performed at The Brits a decade ago, singing Crazy In Love - her debut solo single away from Destiny's Child.

If Bey does sign up to take to the stage this year, the 32-year old will join the likes of previously announced performers Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Arctic Monkeys, Bastille and Rudimental..

Lady Gaga explains reasons for delay of "Do what you want" music video

Lady Gaga has delayed the release of her upcoming video for single Do What You Want.

In a statement posted on her website, Mama Monster said of the upcoming music vid: "It is late because, just like with the Applause video unfortunately, I was given a week to plan and execute it."

Describing the delay as "devastating", she continued: "I devote every moment of my life to creating fantasies for you."

"All my most successful videos were planned over a period of time when I was rested and my creativity was honored."

The Applause singer also hinted at a behind-the-scenes feud at Haus of Gaga, saying: "Those who have betrayed me gravely mismanaged my time and health and left me on my own to damage control any problems that ensued as a result."

"Millions of dollars are not enough for some people. They want billions. Then they need trillions. I was not enough for some people. They wanted more."

"Please forgive me that I did not foresee this coming, I never thought after all the years of hard work that those I called friends and partners would ever care so little at a time I needed them the most."

She did, however, give a shout-out to the "photographers and designers who have always stood by me", no doubt referring to her recent campaign for Versace.

But the quirky singer ended her statement on a positive note: "The next few months of ARTPOP will truly be its beginning. Because those who did not care about ARTPOP's success are now gone, and the dreams I have been planning can now come to fruition."
