Kelly Clarkson talks Adele " Adele told me not to have kids just yet"

Kelly Clarkson has recalled a conversation she had with British hit maker Adele who advised her to hold off for a while on having children.

Clarkson, who recently wed hubby Brandon Blackstock and has made no secret of her desire to start a family, revealed the advice during a new interview with US Weekly.

In the latest issue of the magazine, the star said mum-of-one Adele told her at this year's Grammys: "'Girl, don't have a baby 'cause everything else will go on the back burner. I'm living in baby land!'"

Adele welcomed her first child, a son, in October of last year and has made just a handful of public appearances since the birth.

However 31-year-old star Kelly doesn't seem to have been deterred, telling US writer Ian Drew: "My eggs aren't getting young! Brandon has two kids and I want two more."

The Since U Been Gone singer is currently promoting her Christmas album Wrapped In Red.
