Will.I.Am and Pharrell Williams have settled lawsuit

The battle of wills between Will.I.Am and Pharrell Williams over the latter's use of "I Am" in his company branding has been resolved out of court.
Black Eyed Peas main man Will had taken exception to Pharrell calling his firm "I Am Other" - and had got his legal team to issue a cease and desist notice - arguing that it was too close to his own "I.Am+" product range.
However chart titan Pharrell had rebuffed the claim - saying that there would be no confusion among the public.
He issued a response saying: "The I Am Other mark means 'I am something else', leaving what that 'else' is to the imagination of the consumer.
"It certainly does not mean 'I am Will' or in any way suggest defendants' or the will.i.am mark."
And Williams voiced his unhappiness over the situation to Rolling Stone, saying: "I am disappointed that Will, a fellow artist, would file a case against me. I am someone who likes to talk things out and, in fact, I attempted to do just that on many occasions."
And the US mag now reports that they have settled out of court, although no details are known.

Bill O'Reilly attacks Beyoncé's latest music video

Bill O'Reilly has launched an unprovoked attack on Beyoncé's  latest video, labelling the work 'exploitative garbage' and suggested that it will encourage teenage pregnancy among African American girls.

During a recent chat with Russell Simmons on Monday night,
the Fox news presenter seemed discussed at the fact Beyoncé can be seen to have “sex” in the back of a car with husband Jay-Z and referencing Monica Lewinsky in her Partition video.
O’Reilly explained his reason for the attack saying “the video glorifies having sex in the back of a limousine,' and then warmed to his point saying, 'Teenage girls look up to Beyoncé, particularly girls of colour. She’s an idol to them," he continued. “I’m saying: Why on earth would this woman do that? “

Why would she do it when she knows the devastation that unwanted pregnancies - and fractured families - why would Beyoncé do that?'
The 64-year-old host of The O'Reilly Factor insisted to Simmons that Beyoncé has 'an obligation to protect children' and not to put out 'exploitative garbage.'
Simmons, who co-founded Def Jam Recordings in 1983, attempted to explain but O'Reilly became confused when the video and music was referred to as art.
"Bill, if you think that art that comes out of a community is the cause of the struggle–'
 'That’s art?' O’Reilly interrupted.

'Yes, absolutely,' Simmons responded.
'Beyoncé in the back of a limo having sex and referencing Monica Lewinsky is art?' O'Reilly shouted.
'She's a brilliant artist,' Simmons shot back. 'And she's not only appreciated by people of colour, as you know, she's really one of the top artists in the world to people of every colour”.

However the host admitted he loved Beyoncé's Superbowl performance 'brilliant' but attacked the video to Partition - in which the singer appears to be performing sexually provocative dance moves for the benefit of her partner of ten-years, Jay-Z.
Simmons tried to dodge any questions of the video, but said that he did 'think the artist's job throughout history has been to tell the same things that people are inspired by...so when an artist expresses something that is sexual in music, it's a reflection of our reality.
I have to say I agree with Russell on this one, I feel we live in a world where people become to focus on the fact that these stars are role models to their fans, but what you need to remember is they didn’t ask to be. Parents need to ensure their children understand the differences between a music video and real life. It’s up to you bring up your child.

Cheryl Cole back for The X Factor 2014

Cheryl Cole confirmed her return to The X Factor judging panel last night (March 10) after reportedly signing a deal worth £1.5million.

After months of speculation, the gorgeous Geordie took to Instagram to share a snap of herself and Simon Cowell, which sees Chezza with her hands around his throat.

She then accompanied the pic with the caption: "GUESS WHAT!!... I'm baaaacccckkkkk!!!!", before adding the hashtags #iMayActuallyRingHisNeck #XFactor2014 #leggooo.

Cheryl later said in a statement: "I’m very happy and excited to be returning to The X Factor. I’m inspired and ready to find new talent and potential pop stars. It’s going to be a fun series.”

Cowell could hardly contain his excitement on Twitter, also confirming the news: "It's official. Cheryl is back. Be careful what you wish for"  "Most importantly she is a brilliant judge of talent."SiCo later added: "I am so happy that Cheryl has agreed to join The X Factor again. The last time we worked together in the UK was incredible and produced some really successful artists. Obviously the plan is to do the same again… so it's back to work!"

Elaine Bedell, ITV’s director of comedy and entertainment, said: "We're thrilled to be announcing Cheryl's return to The X Factor panel - she was an extremely popular judge who struck a real chord with our viewers, and we're looking forward to welcoming her back on screen this autumn."

Richard Holloway, managing director Thames TV, said: "I’m delighted to welcome Cheryl back to the show. She has the unique experience of having started out on a show like this and she is also one of the only people who knows how to get the better of Simon. Having them both reunited on the panel will make for a great series this year.”

According to The Sun, Cole and SiCo have been in months of negotiations - which ended with the Girls Aloud star being handed Gary Barlow's old mega-deal, making her the second highest-paid panelist other than SiCo.

Following her sacking from The X Factor USA in 2011, Chez and Simon have had a rocky relationship - with the 30-year old babe previously revealing they are now "frenemies".

Cole first appeared on the XF between 2008 to 2010, with the pal adding she is in a "different place" after her disastrous stint on the US series.

However, while bosses hope Chezza return will "revitalise" the talent show, The Sun adds that the Call My Name singer has only signed a one-year deal.

Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger recently quitting the show, former contestant Olly Murs is the red hot favourite to take the final seat, while Rita Ora and ex-panelist Dannii Minogue have already ruled themselves out.

However, The Sun's source added: "Having Cheryl on board makes the fourth spot much more desirable.

Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran have split.

It's official. Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran have split.

The model took to Twitter and Instagram to tell her followers: "Not dating anyone stop w the bs" before adding "Please and thank you."
She followed this up by posting the quote: "Be Kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle" in what may be a reference to Chris Brown's recent bipolar disorder diagnosis.
Documents submitted to the Los Angeles Superior Court last week linked the singer's anger issues to previously undiagnosed bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
The split comes amid reports that Chris Brown is back in contact with his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
Page Six reports that the pair have been texting since Rihanna's birthday on 20 February, however, in a Tweet that has since been deleted, Chris Brown said:"Focused on my Recovery and Music... Nothing more, nothing less."
think this is a good thing I think Chris needs to concentrate on his own issues and his music
Rihanna has most recently been linked with Drake, whom she joined on stage for a raunchy display in Paris several weeks ago.

James Arthur slams The X Factor

James Arthur has launched a new attack on The X Factor, branding the show 'karaoke' and slagging off former male winners of the contest, reports the Daily Mirror.

In an interview on Polish TV, he said: “Having watched X Factor over the years, they just haven’t got it right. The male winners haven’t been believable. They look like puppets, they sound like puppets.

“I happen to agree with a lot of people who say it’s like karaoke. I’ve done it myself watching the show over the years and saying, ‘I’ve seen better down my local pub. Unfortunately, there’s a f***load of karaoke singers in the world and all they can do is make them look like good karaoke singers.”

The singer, who recently slammed 'bullies' in the press for 'disgraceful propaganda' written about him, also appeared to hit out at his record label during the interview.

He said: “I have people telling me what I can and can’t do, what music I can and can’t make. People who aren’t artists don’t think about creativity and art, they think about money.

“When you find fame or you get signed to a record label, it’s not what you imagined – because you imagined they would have 100 per cent trust or faith in you as an artist. Unfortunately, that’s not really the case – it’s what sells.”

Don't  get me wrong I like James and nobody can say that he doesn't have talant. However  it comes across as a bit ungrateful, there are something's you leave at the kitchen table.

Sam Bailey talks unborn baby "I'm terrified"

Sam Bailey has revealed that she is terrified of losing her unborn baby.

The X Factor winner, who announced she was pregnant earlier this week, told the Sunday Mirror she is having weekly scans to monitor her latest pregnancy.

She told the paper: "I’m scared every day that I’ll lose the baby. It’s a horrible feeling so I need reassurance. I’ve been there before and I know how hard it is.

"As soon as I found out I was pregnant I wanted to see for myself that my baby was OK. When I heard a heartbeat the first time it was a massive relief. I have signed up to a clinic where I can go in whenever I like to check everything’s OK.

"But when I walk in there I’m very nervous. It’s definitely worth it because otherwise I know the worry and stress will get on top of me and start to affect my work. I can’t let that happen. It would be bad for the baby too."

Earlier this week the singer said she was moving her first solo tour from October to January after finding out she was expecting.

The former prison officer already has two children - eight-year-old Brooke and four-year-old Tommy - with husband Craig.

Let's hope everything goes well for Sam and her family and congratulations.
